Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) program

In 2022, Molonglo Support Services successfully tendered for Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) program for the Queanbeyan Palerang region.  Funding is provided by Department of Communities and Justice NSW to assist vulnerable women and children who have experienced domestic and family violence (DFV).

SHLV assists women and children victim/survivors by providing support for them to remain safely in their own home, or a home of their choice, while the violent/abusive perpetrator is removed.

Janette Dale, CEO of Molonglo Support services says this program will make a significant difference in the lives of victim and survivors of family and domestic violence.

“Every day we strive to maintain the safety of women and children however it is often the most vulnerable who are forced into homelessness and away from their support networks such as family, friends and school. This funding will provide the opportunity for victim/survivors of domestic and family violence to avoid homelessness by remaining in the family home,” Ms Dale said.
